EARLY YEARS

As a younger woman, art and art history captured Wendy’s imagination. However, it was not until early mid-life that art found its place in her. After almost two decades working in the academy, she began to acknowledge the limitations of word-based communication. Although she continues her work as a scholar, Wendy returned to art as a vehicle for communicating beyond the limitation of words. With her art she attempts to express what she knows, what is real and, for her, what is meaningful.
